How to Make a PDF Smaller for Email
Most email providers cap attachments at 25 MB (Gmail, Outlook) or even 10 MB (some corporate servers). A single scanned contract or an image-heavy report can blow past that easily. Here's why PDFs get so big — and how to fix it.

Why your PDF is huge
- Scanned pages are stored as full-resolution images, one per page.
- Embedded photos are often saved at print resolution (300 DPI) when screen resolution is plenty for email.
- Fonts and duplicated resources get embedded multiple times.
